Rick Ross Ft. Drake & French Montana – Stay Schemin

This is how you know Rozay ain’t playing with the hip hop community. Just after the Rich Forever mixtape being dropped, we already have the visuals of Stay Schemin with Drake and French Montana. Maybach Music group appear so powerful right now, a little reminiscent of Lil Wayne just before he brought along the rest of YMCMB on Bedrock. What the chances of the next MMG joint being just as big..? I guess we’ll just have to wait, but the future looks beautiful for MMG and their affiliates. For those who like to read into the poetry, you will hear all-sorts on this one especially in relation to the Drake and Common Sweet issue. Big boys wanna play, feelings get hurt.

Lupe Fiasco – American Terrorist III

Today is a good day. First Rozay now Lupe Fiasco blesses us with visuals to entertain and extent the audio expressions. This one, we feel is more necessary and needed to be produced to further illustrate the ideas Lupe expressed in the third installment of American Terrorist. Conscious rap, real hip hop, call it what you like, we are just greatful for good music we like, and all the more the chance to share this with you. Shout out to Jordan for the video.

Rick Ross – Rich Forever [Mixtape & Inside Look]

Here is a video of an inside look into the Rich Forever mixtape by the Ross. (Download at the bottom)

Rick Ross Rich Forever mixtape BeatsandCulture

After the dawn of the cover art and track list, we finally have the complete feature. Consisting of banger after banger of the same flow and persona that has made Rick Ross the star that he is. He obviously is aware of the power that he now holds in the rap game and that come across with the number of features that he has accumulated on this record. The implications of that are, the difficulties other artists have in getting just one feature, let alone to the extent of Rich Forever. The music is what it is, the beats are premiere so you know the explosion of artistry that was conjured in the multiple studios the record was created in. Just to show you how serious Ross is in cementing his name in hip hop history, he has another mixtape out with his label Maybach Music Group. The dude is a problem right about now and we don’t really see that letting up soon. Kudos.

Common – Raw (How You Like It)

As you may or may not have noticed yet, we are a big fan of Common here at Beats & Culture. So as soon as he announced his new music video for the track ‘Raw (How You Like It)’, we couldn’t wait to get it up on the site. The visual doesn’t disappoint, as Common shows off not only his musical talent but also his acting skills in this story-like video. Displaying the ‘cool’ persona of Common with a smoking hot video vixen by his side, this is one video you’ll no doubt enjoy.

Frank Ocean Interview [talks about new album]

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Frank Ocean gives us an insight into his world, when it comes to lyrics, artistic vision and the portrayal of that vision and well as some interesting question that a lot of musicians and general music/Frank Ocean fans simply wanted to know.

Phonte – Dance In The Reign

We are always proud when we have a chance to present hip hop like this, especially from any memmber of the hip hop legends that are/were Little Brother. Phonte jumps on this one to gives us yet another insight into his psyche, with such an elequoent flow and delivery it’s easy to see and hear why he is so highly regarded. It always annoys us to see artists like him and the rest of Little Brother not get that commercial success which we all know is well over due, but we also find comfort in knowing there are emotions felt and thought experience when their joints are played. So press play and be merry. Remember to cop his album Charity Starts At Home.
